What to have ready for IPTV on your LG Smart TV
- webOS 3.0 or later on the LG, which covers most sets sold since about 2016
- An LG account, since the store will not download without one
- The PrimeFlexMedia Xtream lines or M3U link from WhatsApp
- A network cable if the router is far away, particularly for 4K films

IPTV on LG Smart TV: 11 steps from login to the film library
Look up the webOS version
The webOS number is in Settings, on the support or TV information page. Version 3.0 and later run current players well. Older NetCast sets only take a dated Smart IPTV build, and an HDMI streaming stick gives those TVs a much better film experience.
Open the LG store and log in
Press Home and pick Apps; on older firmware it is called LG Content Store. Sign in with an LG account, which is easiest to set up on a phone. Then point at the magnifier and search for a player.
Choose and install a player
Search IPTV Smarters Pro. It is free, signs in with Xtream and gives films and series separate sections, though a few regions lack it. Smart IPTV is lighter and runs better on older LG chips. It charges once per TV after a trial; siptv.app showed 5.49 EUR in September 2026, for the app only.
Link the player to PrimeFlexMedia
In Smarters, pick Xtream Codes API and fill in the server, username and password from our message. Smart IPTV works differently: note the MAC it displays, open siptv.app/mylist on a phone, enter that MAC, paste the M3U link and submit. Restart the app to load everything.
Let the library settle
The first sync brings live groups and 120,000+ movies and series. Older LG chips need a few minutes, so wait before browsing. Later launches are quick. Titles are added over time, and some also leave, so a film you saw last spring may not stay forever.
Scroll Movies with the Magic Remote
Open Movies in Smarters. Aim the Magic Remote at a genre on the left, then roll the wheel to race through the posters. Click one to read the summary and press Play. Aim at the search icon if you know the title. Number buttons do little in outside players.
Watch a series one season at a time
Open Series, pick a show and choose a season. Episodes appear in order with their numbers, so finding your place is simple. If the next one does not start by itself, click it. Smart IPTV lists a series as items inside a group, so check the numbers in each name.
Turn subtitles or another language on
Click the picture during playback to show the controls, then open subtitles or audio. Each title only offers the tracks its source carries, so some list several and some list none. LG caption settings in Accessibility cover LG apps, while outside players use their own menus.
Save films and continue later
Use the favorite option on a Smarters film page to build a watchlist. Reopen a film you stopped and the app usually offers to resume, depending on the version. These lists live on this TV only. On a shared set, a second Smarters profile keeps each viewer's picks apart.
Give 4K films a steady line
A cable from the router is the best friend of a two-hour 4K film. On Wi-Fi, use 5 GHz. Unplug the TV for a minute now and then, since standby keeps memory full. When a 4K title stalls, play the FHD copy for the evening.
Use the login on another screen
Your details also work on a phone, a tablet or another TV. The plan decides how many play at once, from one to five. Favorites, resume points and any Smart IPTV activation belong to each device. Live TV, the guide and catch-up on supported channels come with the login too.
Where to find films and series on LG Smart TV
Menu names shift a little between app versions, so use this as a map rather than a script. If a label differs on your screen, look for the closest match.
| What you want | IPTV Smarters Pro on webOS | Smart IPTV on webOS |
|---|---|---|
| Film library | Movies on the home screen | Film groups in the playlist |
| Series by season | Series, show, season, episode | Episodes listed inside a group |
| Subtitles and audio | Click the picture, then track options | Player options when tracks exist |
| Fast scrolling | Magic Remote wheel over the poster grid | Magic Remote wheel over the list |
| Clock for the TV guide | All Settings, General, System, Time and Date (webOS 6 and later) | Same TV setting |
Want the maker's own instructions for menus and settings? See the LG US support. Titles come and go over time, and subtitle or audio languages depend on the source of each film, so test the ones you care about during the trial.
Big 4K films pausing? Check these first
- Connection: a network cable or the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band holds a long 4K film far better than 2.4 GHz through walls.
- Other traffic: pause large downloads, game updates and cloud backups in the house while the film plays.
- The device: it must decode HEVC for most 4K titles; older sticks and TVs often play the FHD copy more calmly.
- The copy: if one title stalls, pick its FHD version for tonight and tell support which film it was.

LG Smart TV giving you trouble? Fixes that usually work
Sound but a black screen
The TV cannot decode that format. Open the player settings and try another decoder or engine if offered. On older LG chips the FHD copy often plays when the 4K one will not. Before anything else, update the app.
The LG store has no players
The store follows the country chosen in the TV menu. Set it to where you live and search again. Still empty? Send our team your webOS version, or add a streaming stick on a free HDMI port.
Movies opens but nothing loads
A big library takes a while on the first run. Wait, then reopen the app. If it stays empty, sign out of the Smarters profile and sign in with the Xtream lines, because an M3U login lists films differently.
Smarters says the details are wrong
With the pointer it is easy to tap the key next door. Retype the server, http:// first and the port last, and check password capitals. Remove any stale autofill. A finished trial or plan fails too, since nothing renews automatically.
A 4K film keeps freezing
Network first: a cable or 5 GHz makes the biggest difference. Close other apps and pause downloads in the house. Unplug the TV for sixty seconds to clear memory. If the title still stalls, choose the FHD version and pass the film name to support.
The playlist disappeared after a reboot
Some webOS builds clear app data when storage runs out. Remove apps nobody uses, then sign in again. In Smart IPTV, the Save online box on the siptv.app upload page stores your list with the developer, so a wiped TV can fetch it again.
The player is stuck on its splash screen
Unplug the TV for a minute, because standby leaves memory full. Open the player once more. Still stuck? Update it in Apps, or reinstall it and enter your PrimeFlexMedia details again.

PrimeFlexMedia on LG Smart TV: common questions
What are the steps for IPTV on an LG TV?
Download a player from the LG store; Smarters suits most sets and Smart IPTV suits older ones. Sign in to Smarters with your PrimeFlexMedia Xtream lines, or link Smart IPTV to the M3U link at siptv.app/mylist. Wait for the first sync, then open Movies or Series. Budget ten minutes on any recent webOS set.
Where do films and series show up on an LG player?
In IPTV Smarters Pro, Movies and Series have their own tiles, with genres on the left and seasons inside every show. In Smart IPTV, films and series arrive as groups in the playlist, so you scroll the group list to reach them. Both draw on the same PrimeFlexMedia library of 120,000+ titles.
Should I buy a stick for my LG?
Most people can skip it. Any LG running webOS 3.0 or later gets a player straight from the LG store, and that player talks to PrimeFlexMedia with no box in between. A stick helps on older NetCast models, when 4K films refuse to decode, or when you want TiViMate, which has never had a webOS version.
How do I change subtitles on an LG TV player?
Click the picture during playback, then open the subtitle or audio option in the controls. That works whenever the film carries subtitle tracks. The choices depend on the source of each title, so some offer several and some none. Test the films that matter to you during the free trial.
Do I pay anything extra for Smart IPTV on LG?
It is free during its trial, then a single fee per TV. The developer showed 5.49 EUR in September 2026. That fee is for the app only. Your movies, series and live channels come from the PrimeFlexMedia plan and link to the set by its MAC code.
Will my LG TV and phone both play at once?
Yes, on a plan covering two or more screens. Use the same login on both. With one screen, only one plays at a time. Plans come in 1, 2, 3 or 5 screens, and every renewal lets you choose a different count if the household changes.
