Before opening M3U playlist, gather these
- The M3U address from the PrimeFlexMedia activation chat, kept private
- A player that reads playlists, for instance VLC, Kodi or Smart IPTV
- The matching listings link, only if your player wants live listings added separately

M3U playlist and PrimeFlexMedia: 10 steps from login to the film library
Locate the link in the WhatsApp chat
It is a long address containing your username and password, often finishing with type=m3u_plus. Since your login is built into it, keep the whole thing private. Whoever holds it can occupy your screens. Star the message so you can find it again in seconds.
Open it in VLC on a computer
In VLC, choose Media, then Open Network Stream, paste the link and press Play. Open the playlist view to see every entry grouped by the source. VLC is the fastest way to check the link works before you set up a TV.
Add it to Kodi with IPTV Simple Client
In Kodi, go to Add-ons, My add-ons, PVR clients and open PVR IPTV Simple Client. Enable it, open Configure and paste the link into the M3U playlist URL field. Restart Kodi. Entries then show under TV, with groups as folders.
Send it to a TV with Smart IPTV
For Smart IPTV on an LG or Samsung set, go to siptv.app/mylist on a phone, type the MAC shown by the app and paste the address. Relaunch the app on the TV. Our Smart IPTV guide walks through every detail.
Learn how films appear in a playlist
When your link includes on-demand titles, each film is a single entry inside a group named by genre or language. Series episodes are separate entries, usually labelled with season and episode numbers such as S02 E05. There are no posters, plot pages or season menus in a playlist.
Search instead of scrolling
A full list is long, with 25,000+ channels before films are counted. VLC has a search box above its playlist view. Kodi lets you search within its channel lists. Knowing the exact title or episode number turns a long scroll into a few key presses.
Pick audio and subtitle tracks
Tracks belong to the stream rather than the playlist. VLC keeps them under Audio, then Audio Track, and Subtitle, then Sub Track. In Kodi, look for the speaker and caption buttons among the playback controls. You only see what that copy contains, so a single option means a single track.
Handle resume and favourites by hand
Playlist players keep little history for streams. VLC may offer to continue an item it played before, but do not count on it. Note the time when you stop a long film. For favourites, hide unused groups and keep a short list in players that support it.
Keep 4K films smooth
In VLC, open Tools, Preferences, Input / Codecs and leave hardware-accelerated decoding switched on. Raising Network caching on the same page gives a shaky connection more room. Kodi enables hardware decoding by itself on most machines. A cable and roughly 25 Mbps keep one 4K picture steady.
Spread the link across devices
Run the address in VLC on your laptop, through Kodi on a media PC and in Smart IPTV upstairs, all at once. Only simultaneous streams count against your plan, which allows one to five. For real film menus on any of them, move to the Xtream login in a player built for it.
Playlist players compared for films
A playlist gives every player the same entries, but each shows the film part of the 120,000+ library a little differently. This is what to expect.
| Player | Film groups | Track switching | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| VLC | Flat playlist, searchable | Audio Track and Sub Track menus | Testing the link on a computer or phone |
| Kodi with IPTV Simple Client | Groups as folders under TV | On-screen speaker and caption icons | A media PC by the TV |
| Smart IPTV | Groups with one row per title | Depends on the TV model | Samsung or LG TVs without a stick |
| Xtream player instead | Posters, plots and seasons | Built into the player controls | Film-first evenings |
Kodi documents every Simple Client setting in its official PVR IPTV Simple Client page, and VideoLAN keeps downloads on the official VLC site.
When to move from the M3U link to the Xtream login
If you mostly watch films and series, the playlist will feel bare. The Xtream Codes login guide explains how the same account opens full Movies and Series menus, and the Windows and Mac setup guide shows players for a computer. Learn how the library is organised on our VOD IPTV page.

Want the maker's own instructions for menus and settings? See the VLC media player from VideoLAN. Titles come and go over time, and subtitle or audio languages depend on the source of each film, so test the ones you care about during the trial.
Big 4K films pausing? Check these first
- Connection: a network cable or the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band holds a long 4K film far better than 2.4 GHz through walls.
- Other traffic: pause large downloads, game updates and cloud backups in the house while the film plays.
- The device: it must decode HEVC for most 4K titles; older sticks and TVs often play the FHD copy more calmly.
- The copy: if one title stalls, pick its FHD version for tonight and tell support which film it was.
Our page on what 4K IPTV needs at home explains bandwidth and devices in more detail.
M3U playlist giving you trouble? Fixes that usually work
The list takes forever to open
With films included the file is big, and players that ignore groups find it hard going. Ask support for a live-only version, or move to the Xtream login, which fetches films and live TV separately.
My browser saved a file instead of playing
Browsers download playlists rather than play them, so this is expected. Copy the address into VLC or Kodi instead. Then remove the saved file, since your login is written inside it.
Kodi shows nothing after setup
Simple Client loads the list as Kodi boots. Close Kodi completely and open it again, confirm the add-on is switched on and make sure no stray space sits before or after the address.
No film entries appear
Your link may be a live-only version. Ask PrimeFlexMedia support on WhatsApp for a link that includes on-demand titles, then load it again in your player.
Titles appear as boxes or symbols
The player is misreading UTF-8 text. Recent VLC and Kodi releases display it correctly, so update or switch to one of them.
A 4K film stutters in VLC
Check hardware-accelerated decoding is on, raise Network caching a little and use a cable. If it still stutters, play the FHD copy of the same title.

M3U playlist with PrimeFlexMedia: common questions
How does M3U8 differ from M3U?
Hardly at all. An M3U8 file is an M3U playlist encoded as UTF-8, so titles in other alphabets stay readable; HLS video streams also use that extension. All mainstream players open either kind, so your PrimeFlexMedia link works whatever label the app gives it, and there is nothing to rename or convert.
Can I watch movies with an M3U link?
Yes, when your link includes on-demand titles. Films appear as single entries inside genre or language groups, and series as one entry per episode. Playlist players show no posters or season menus. For browsing the PrimeFlexMedia library comfortably, sign in with the Xtream login in a player such as IPTV Smarters Pro.
Do you hand out free M3U lists?
No. PrimeFlexMedia does not share or point to free M3U lists. Those circulating online are typically unlicensed, die within days, have nobody to help and sometimes hide malware. For free TV, legitimate ad-supported streaming apps are the safer path. Our link is yours alone, with a 24-hour trial first and a 7-day money-back guarantee.
What is the best app for a PrimeFlexMedia M3U link?
That depends on the screen. VLC is the fastest test on a computer or phone, Kodi fits a media PC beside the TV, and Smart IPTV runs on many LG and Samsung sets. If films and series with posters and seasons matter, use the Xtream login in IPTV Smarters Pro or TiViMate instead.
Will renewing give me a new M3U address?
Normally not, since a renewal simply extends the account you already have. A new address only follows a password reset or an account move, and we would send it on WhatsApp. Renewal never happens by itself, so it is always your decision, and you can choose another length or screen count each time.
Does the M3U link play on a phone?
It does. The free VLC app for Android and iOS opens network addresses, so a phone works well as a quick test screen. Remember that phone playback takes up one plan screen, and films use mobile data fast. For regular viewing on a phone, IPTV Smarters Pro with the Xtream login feels far more natural.
